Kurt Pearson is a partner in our Litigation and Labour & Employment Law Law Groups. He appears frequently before the trial and appellate courts in Ontario and routinely represents the firm's clients in the following areas:
- personal injury matters
- motor vehicle claims
- occupiers' liability actions
- life and disability claims
- contested real property
- wrongful dismissal and employment litigation
- power of attorney and estate litigation
- construction lien
- contract disputes
- at administrative tribunals such as the Alcohol and Gaming Commission, WSIB and CPP
Kurt also represents the firm's numerous institutional and municipal clients on a wide range of contested matters.
Kurt has taught segments of the Civil Procedure component at the Law Society of Upper Canada's Bar Admission Course and is a sessional lecturer in Appellate Advocacy at Queen's University Faculty of Law. An exceptionally keen athlete, Kurt played varsity hockey for Queen's and Michigan Tech. He is an active participant in many community sports and recreational activities. Kurt lives in Kingston with his wife, Vicky, and their four children.
