James L. McDonald joined Cunningham, Swan, Carty, Little & Bonham LLP in August 2009, having articled with the Toronto office of a major international law firm. James is a member of our Labour and Employment and Litigation Groups.
Within labour and employment law, James' practice includes wrongful dismissal, workplace harassment, constructive dismissal, human rights claims, terminations, preparing and reviewing contracts of employment, overtime and other employment standards issues, privacy and advising with respect to occupational health and safety. James can also assist with labour arbitration and collective bargaining.
As a member of the Litigation Group, James can provide advocacy in a wide variety of commercial and contractual disputes, personal injury claims and estate litigation.
James is a member of the local unit of the Canadian Forces Naval Reserve, HMCS Cataraqui, a member of the Rotary Club of Cataraqui-Kingston, and a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada and the Frontenac Law Association.
